  • Back on the beach for the first time in weeks!! As I had my running shoes on I unfortunately didn't even get as far as dipping my toes in the water but It was a beautiful morning and we had an awesome beach walk in any case. The wind is back however with not one but 2 anticipated anticyclonic events battering us once more from this afternoon until Saturday and the next one due from Sunday. I almost feel like I'm back in the Cape the way the wind is blowing. 😂 Today was spectacularly unproductive and will end that way too seeing that we're having dinner with friends at their place so my afternoon is just about over..... I did manage 2 unexpected coffee dates with friends.... Hence the unproductive day but who cares. Visiting with friends is sometimes more important. Hubby's doing his thing. Catching fish in impossible weather and halfway through the the trip already so we can start countdown for him to come home already. 🥴 Time sure flies when you are having fun. I hope you've had an awesome day thus far and having at least a bit of fun.   • Cheese and wine on a Tuesday afternoon because I can. 😂 I suppose I should have rather gone for that walk I so desperately need for exercise but..... I was saved by the rain. 😂 I must admit that the hectic winds is very off-putting when it comes to outside exercise at this point. Wine sounds like a much better idea. Got me a stew going for supper so not much kitchen time needed as it's been going since mid-day. It's cleaning day so I've been busy with chores and such and now taking a much needed break. The innocent little face on the 3rd photo is in a lot of trouble with mom. She knocked over my flower vase last night and in the process damaged the Xman's laptop that was on the table. 😭 It's in for repairs and the quote is not looking too good. I am seriously considering locking her in a room at night she's such a naughty little kitty. 🤐 Tomorrow morning is back to kickboxing which sort of scares me as I've missed 2 weeks of classes. Yup... I should have gone for that walk instead of opting for a glass of wine... 😂 Island life. What can I say? 🤔 What's going on in your part of the world today?   • So... My day kicked off leaving home around 07h30am dropping the Xman off at college in Mocca in time for classes at 08h30! The first photo is the view from Curtin University and it shows how cold and gloomy it was this morning. I was ill prepared in my jeans, sandals and light jersey and I definitely regretted not dressing warmer as I stopped off for a 4 hour art lesson in Curepipe which seems to have experienced a simulation of a Cape Town winter's day today. OMW!! I was freezing my little behind off the whole day today. I'm still cold. The art lesson went well, I think so anyhow. 😂 However it would have been 100 times better had I not been so cold. Next time I'll be sure to dress warmer. Tonight my heart goes out to those who experience the cold daily with no resources to keep warm. We're truly blessed with a roof over our heads and a warm bed to sleep in. Driving into the deep deep of Curepipe which lays beyond Port Louis and past Phoenix is quite the challenge but i made it there and back in one piece. 😉 After art class I had some errands to run although I honestly just wanted to come home. I had to go and purchase a microwave as the one in our rental was broken when we got here. Now... Shopping for electronics here gets interesting..... Find object you want to buy. Hand over residence card. Get an invoice from one person. Another comes along and swipes your card. Take invoice to second floors, stand in wrong queue for 10 minutes. Get redirected to 'deliveries' counter. Guy takes paper and sends you back to first floor. Then another comes and hands over said purchase after taking everything out of the box and back in again after which you sign and are allowed to leave the shop with the trolley you had to go and fetch by yourself from the other side of the mall... Begging the popcorn vendor to exchange Rs10 for 2 Rs5 coins to get said trolley unchained.. 😂 Do you understand why I'm in bed already? 🤔 😂 😂 😂 It was a good day until I was too cold to think anymore.
