Bad Dad – Book Review by Liza from books.books.books
Bad Dad by David Walliams
“Dads come in all sorts of shapes and sizes.
There are fat ones and thin ones, tall ones and short ones.
There are young ones and old ones, clever ones and stupid ones.
There are silly ones and serious ones, loud ones and quiet ones.
Of course, there are good dads, and bad dads . . .”
Frank’s dad is Gilbert who is a race car champ and a hero to the town and to Frank. That is until he crashes and loses his leg in the accident. Gilbert goes from being Mr Hero to being Mr Zero in next to no time – but only to the town people. He is still a hero to Frank.
As Gilbert does not have a proper job he is eventually lured into being a getaway driver for Mr Big, the small time crime boss of the area. He gets caught and is thrown in jail. Frank comes up with a plan to get his father out of jail and to return the stolen money. Exciting adventures and very funny.
Age appropriate for 8 and upwards.
