Lisa Clark’s previous cook book was called ‘The Cookie Jar’ and I absolutely loved every recipe in it.
I am ‘the baker’ in the house and so Cookie Jar book was right up my alley. This new book, however, will be perfect for my husband as he loves to cook.
It’s filled with quick and easy but healthy and balanced recipes. The book is divided into 10 chapters from roasted vegetables to fish, chicken, bolognaise, bread, puff pastry and sponge cake. It even has chapters on muesli and tomato sauce (the home made kind). Each chapter starts off with a basic recipe eg. Grilled fish. Then it moves on to fish bites, fish pie, grilled fish with Hawaiian style salsa, paella, pickled fish, spicy fish cakes and a tomato and olive fish bake. Each recipe has a mouth-watering photograph which just makes you want to try out all the dishes.
The book finishes off with a recipe for the Ultimate G&T. I will just have to try it out!
