Good morning everyone!
This particular quote has crossed by path quite a few times in the last few months.
We all have an idea of what we want our lives to be like. Happy, financially secure, healthy, awesome relationships, good friends, a good job which is also perhaps a passion of you are lucky enough. We want a balanced life with regards to actual working and making time for other things like exercise, being with your family etc The list is long.
Reality is.. Life is often not that pretty pink picture. It’s more often messy. It’s stressful. It’s consumed with work and trying to stay afloat. It’s struggling with the kids, fighting with your partner. It’s not talking to one another. It’s not having enough time to spend living instead of just hanging on.
Having said that. However messy it gets, if you are blessed with loving and caring friends and family, a roof over your head, food on the table and a job to provide perhaps we should stop reaching for what we can’t have and start using what we do have to make the best of this life.
We’re often chasing goals. Once I’ve lost weight I’ll wear the bikini, once I have money for a new car I’ll be happy, a bigger house, a newer this or that. Social media tricks us into believing we cannot be happy with what we have. That’s a morning thought all on its own.
This morning I just want to say. Make your piece with this life. Mop up the messes as best as you can. Breathe and deal with the stress, be calm, be grateful. Live the life you have and work on the dream but don’t let it consume you. ❤️
